In addition to being on the Mojave Water Agency, Kimberly Cox also has 2 more positions working for the County of San Bernardino. As a LAFCO commissioner and as General Manager of the Helendale Community Services District. Below is Kimberly's MWA campaign statement.

In water management, there is no substitute for experience.  Kimberly Cox has extensive experience in water management and is a proven leader in High Desert water issues. Kimberly is general manager of a community services district and a Mojave Water Agency board member.
 
Kimberly Cox believes RESPONSIBLE WATER MANAGEMENT is CRITICAL to our quality of life, property values and sustainability.  All communities and lifestyles deserve fair representation in water policy development.
 
·         As a 24-year resident of the High Desert, Kimberly understands the importance of accountability in water management, the need to ensure responsible growth, and protecting the rights of private well owners.
 
·         As a former community college instructor, Kimberly is dedicated to promoting water education and conservation in local schools and community colleges.
 
·         As a public servant, Kimberly will protect our valuable water resources to ensure all communities benefit.  
 
·         As a grandparent, Kimberly is passionate about providing clean ample water to future generations.
 
With a bachelor's degree in Business Management and  Master's degree in Public Administration (emphasis in Water Resource Management), Kimberly Cox possesses knowledge, skill and insight necessary to make responsible water management decisions. The focus here is on Helendale (Silver Lakes) and the job Ms. Cox does promoting "Responsible Water Management" as the General Manager. The Helendale Community Service District 2009 water quality report.

From the results of the 2008 Drinking Water Quality Test. Helendale drinking water does not meet the current EPA standard for Arsenic in wells 3,7 and 8.Drinking water containing Arsenic may lead to skin damage, circulatory problems and cancer.

Helendale drinking water also does not meet the current EPA standard for Gross Alpha- or radioactive minerals that emit alpha radiation. Increasing your risk of getting cancer. Any other violations?
