No San Bernardino County Fire Fighting Airplanes or Helicopters
Largest County In the USA Has No Aircraft to Fight Fires
The claim that San Bernardino County is the largest in the USA and bigger then 9 states. At 20,00 square miles.
Yet , there are no aircraft- helicopters or fixed wing aircraft dedicated to figh fires with, for the entire County of San Bernardino. And County Officials claim that Public Safety is their Number 1 concern?
The explaination from the County Fire 2006 Annual Report that the Sheriff's Deptartment helicopters are used with 180 gallon "Bambi Buckets" to fight fires with.
