San Bernardino County Invests Your Tax Dollars In Communist Chinese Businesses Deals
How Does This Benefit The Taxpayers? It Doesn't - It Only Benefits Private Businesses With Tax Money Intended For Public Services

Our corrupt County is in on the trading with the Communist Chinese as the best use of your tax dollars along with the DCB sellout to East West bank for a direct link to mainland Communist China with your money. What a surprise!  No aircraft to fight fires with or property tax money back to Hesperia for public safety from our corrupt County. Trade with the Communists is what the County does with our tax dollars as the priority in spending.

County courts more Chinese commerce

May 31, 2007 - 10:34PM
ONTARIO — With soaring international trade between the United States and China, government officials and local businesses in the Victor Valley are trying to capitalize on the rising commerce.

County officials on Thursday announced that they will lead another trade mission to China in October, following last year’s journey that generated $65 million in potential contracts for local firms.

“The Victor Valley is the future of international trade in San Bernardino County,” said Brian McGowan, economic development agency administrator for the county.

McGowan estimates that international trade is responsible for 45,000 jobs in San Bernardino County.

“While places like Ontario have been the economic engine for the region over the last 15 years, they are getting built out. Victorville is the natural progression for development because of its airport, freeways and railways,” McGowan said.

Current trade figures indicate that Chinese commerce is continuing to increase.

The merchandise trade deficit between the U.S. and China hit $56.96 billion in March and is on pace to surpass last year’s record deficit of $232.5 billion, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

“Over $16.5 billion in merchandise trade either originates or ends up in the Inland Empire annually, of which $15.5 billion is in imports and a little less than $1 billion is exports,” said Geoffrey Garrett, president of the Pacific Council on International Policy during a presentation at the annual world trade conference in Ontario.

More than half of the imports coming into the Inland Empire come from China, mostly in consumer goods, Garrett said.

“That puts this region on the leading edge of the impact of Chinese trade to the U.S.,” Garrett said.

The Bradco Companies was one of five High Desert businesses that participated in the county’s trade mission to China last year.

“We are working with a group of Chinese developers that we met indirectly as a result of the trade mission,” said Joseph Brady, president of Bradco.

Brady is brokering a deal with his Chinese clients on a large industrial park in the High Desert, which has yet to be finalized.

The county’s trade mission to China is planned for Oct. 6-14 and will visit Hong Kong, Shanghai and Suzhou.
